Houston Coffee And Cars June 2017
Originally, I had planned to bring my Hyundai Veloster out to the monthly Houston Coffee and Cars gathering at Memorial City Mall. Well, plans quickly changed a few days before and I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make it at all. Morning of the event, I was in fact able to go but I arrived later than I usually would have.
I pulled up to the mall parking lot and parked further back from the main area. I proceeded to make my way to the hordes of people checking out the various rides on display. I made my way to the main area first, snapping a few photos of rides as I passed them by. There were a lot of people out here on this warm summer day… yes, warm — not the usual blazing hot and humid days we have been accustomed to. The humidity was still here, it didn’t take much time to start sweating as I walked around the venue.
Houston Police Department were out with a nice collection of vehicles on display. They were there not only to show off their rides and gear, but they were there in cooperation with the event host for a school supply drive to bring new school supplies to children in low income neighborhoods. I continued walking around, but I ran into a few friends which I ended up chatting with for a while (a lot longer than I usually do), so I knew my coverage would be light for this month. After a while, lots of rides started to leave the parking lot, so I rushed around trying to snap more photos of any rides that caught my attention.
Houston Coffee & Cars is currently held on the first Saturday of each month at Memorial City Mall in front of the food court area. With the next one falling on a holiday weekend, we have to stay tuned to their page to see if it will be held on July 2. Either way, as long as I am in town, I will see you at the next one!
