Houston Coffee and Cars March 2017
Recently, there has been a trend of cooler temperatures in Houston for the first weekend of January and February. March seemed like it continued the trend with the temperatures dropping for the monthly car gathering held at Memorial City Mall. Hopefully this trends continues through summer with cooler days for one of Houston’s largest car events. This past weekend, the weather cooled down but thankfully the expected rain held off that morning allowing hundred of spectators to come out and see some of Houston’s best rides.
I had plan on bringing my ride out that morning so I woke up earlier than usual in hopes to get a good parking spot. Well the plans changed when I woke that morning, but I did make my way out much earlier than usual arriving before many of the ride that would come out later. I walked around a bit snapping a few photos waiting for the onslaught of rides and people to arrive. I ended up hanging around a few friends and chatted for a bit waiting for the parking spaces to fill up. Soon enough it was time to start my coverage. I made my way back to the main area in front of the mall’s food court entrance where majority of the exotics were held. This area always seems to be the more popular section so I tried to snap as many photos I could before the crowd increased in size.
Walking around the mall’s parking lot, you will find all kinds of rides and different styles. All types of people and all different ages come out to see whats on display. As always, there are some that are regulars here while some make seldom appearances. I continued walking around the parking lot until it was the end of the scheduled time. Majority of the rides were heading out by this time which makes exiting take some time. If you love cars, you want to check out Houston Coffee & Cars. Currently the gathering is held on the first Saturday of each month from 8 am till 10 am at Memorial City Mall hosted by Scuderia.
