Lamborghini Festival 2016 – Kick Off
Over the past five years, Houston has been graced with a festival dedicated to one of the most iconic brand of cars, Automobili Lamborghini, an event that also supports a good cause by benefiting Bennett’s Bears. This year, Scuderia Society decided to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the legendary Lamborghini Miura in addition to the now famous Lamborghini Festival. It started off with Friday’s event at Million Air, an aviation facility near Houston’s Hobby Airport.
Upon arriving at Million Air, the event had already begun. I walked around to check out the scene as this was my first time at this venue as well as the kick off party for the festival. I picked up my media badge and made my way back outside just in time to see the special video presentation held in the back area of the venue.
Everyone made their way back inside shortly after the video to see the designer fashion show by Lucho and the unveiling of ‘The Anatomy of the Raging Bull’ Miura painting by artist Betirri. The car of the hour wasn’t quite ready for it’s debut, so I returned back outside for a few more photo opportunities with the Lamborghinis on display while I waited for the unveiling on the Miura.
Once I was finished taking my photos, I went back inside to find out I missed the unveiling. I made my way into the crowd so I could see which Lamborghini Miura was on display. I stayed out here a while longer, snapping some more photos before officially calling it a night. The first day of Lamborghini Festival was off to a great start. Stay tuned for more coverage coming from the Spekture team.
