The Brewery Meet
After our first car show, we decided to host a few car meets in between out next big event. The Brewery Meet ended up being out first meet, held at the far north side of the Houston area in Conroe at our good friends Copperhead Brewery. We knew that the parking area around this new brewery/bar wasn’t going to hold several hundred cars so we didn’t really promote this event. Even so, the RSVP’s were stacking up every day.
Last Friday was finally the day for the Brewery Meet. I began my trek up to Conroe for my first visit there, and of course there was traffic on the way and even an accident on 45 slowed me down for a while. Right around 6, the official starting time I arrived to the venue with two cars already set up and on display. One of the car owners was inside enjoying a cold brew as I chatted with the other owner for a bit.
I ended up moving my ride to a different spot and then went inside to chat with the owners for a bit. When I made my way back outside, the rides started to roll in.Soon, the front row was filled with a variety of rides. We had a big presence of import cars at the meet, with a mixture of some domestic rides as well. Some owners made their way inside to try some of the Copperhead beers and then join the others that stayed outside chatting and checking out the rides. I asked around, and it seemed like Copperheads beer was a hit, even among those who don’t drink beer often. The night progressed as I continued taking photos and talking with some of the people who made it out, meeting lots of new faces and seeing some familiar ones.
Closer to ending time of the meet, I went inside the to hang out and chat for a bit longer. I heard personally from a few people out there they would like to see this meet continue, or at least some more meets in the Conroe area. We plan to host a few more meets, make sure to follow us to see where the next ones will be. We would love to hear from you, let us know what your thoughts are and where you would like to see some meets at.
We would like to thank Copperhead brewery for allow us to host our meet at their establishment. Make sure to check out their website and facebook page and give them a like.
