The Q30 Experience
Life in the fast lane is what Texas Speed Syndicate is all about. On Sunday, February 26th, 30 high performance drivers from across the country with their mean, track eating machines headed off to Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas for the opportunity to experience that during the Q30 event.
The Q30 is a quarter mile(1/4) drag race. TSS shut down the track and allowed only the 30 drivers, with a two guest maximum limit, inside the world of burnt rubber and adrenaline. Drivers must first submit a tech inspection form and pay their $308 entry fee before they can take their cars to the limit. Drivers have the option to run single lane passes to make new personal records, or hold grudge matches against the other drivers. ET and MPH are always displayed and slips are given out at the end of each run.
Cars of every sort arrived and left everything they had on the track. Insanely well built GTRs, Novas, Camaros, and more. Every car there was an absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. Those in attendance enjoyed a full Sunday of racing. The party gets started right away at 8 a.m. with a driver meeting and cars on the track and running by 9! Drivers and their guests are also treated to lunch at the track.
This exclusive, grassroots inspired track series focuses on maximizing driving time while providing drivers and their guests with a fully prepped track. Enjoy a collection of photos by Elena Sbrana.
