They Live Among Us
The making of a costume is a monumental task that requires planning, designing, and using a large variety of hard skills to see it through to the end. I asked cosplayer and costume designer Nica Stone what it was like to put this project together.
“After weeks of searching the city far and wide, I found the helmets I needed. Then came choosing the fabric, Marshall’s never disappoints. Then came putting it all together. It took three 10-hour days of cutting, painting & sewing to put it all together. Finally, I was ready to join the online craze of the Among Us cosplays. Everything turned out so perfectly. Then it was time to do the shoot. Everything was perfect, the set, the team & the details. We blew it all out of this world. The next question was, which one of us was the killer. . .”
Nica Stone’s attention to detail and hard work is matched only by her enthusiasm and commitment to cosplay. The bodysuits and belting were made from scratch by Stone. The wigs were custom-styled and the helmets were custom painted to match suits.
Nica Stone was joined by the beautiful Shanna Lynne, a well-established cosplayer in her own right.
